Jülide M. Özkan

Instructor at ÖzyeÄŸin University

I'm a mathematician interested in Group Theory, Representation Theory and Model Theory. I have worked as a research assistant at ÖzyeÄŸin from 2016 to 2023. I started working as an instructor since obtaining my PhD in 2023.

Research Interests

I have worked on a new concept called 'strongly monolithic characters' which is a subset of 'monolithic characters'. We try to use the number and the properties of strongly monolithic characters to determine properties of the group itself. The hope is to obtain similar if not stronger results that has been proven using monolithic characters.

I am also, in a non-professional way, interested in Model Theory and what groups look like from its perspective.
